DEC 5: INAUGRATION of ANU Natarajan- 1st indian-American Elected to City Fremont Council
Anu Natarajan represents the city of Fremont population 210,000 in Sf Bay area- with about 25,000 Indian-Americans or Indo-Americans or Asian Indians. Fremont is the home to also about 25,000 Afghani Americans. Taking into account Chinese, Filipino Americans etc the poulations is 45% Asian. Along with Natarajan on the Council sits Steve Cho- a Chinese American- making Asian representation a neat 40%

The Best part was that she managed to get ALL Factions of the Indian-American community to celebrate her historic victory TOGETHER This is the FIRST Time that an Indian-American has been ELECTED to City Council of a major city in SF Bay area. And a Strong Woman at that!!! Yay!!
